The development process

We build our websites using an award winning open source Content Management System (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL. Put simply, a CMS allows clients to quickly and easily update the content of their site with a user friendly web interface, making your website easy to maintain. Initially your website will be built and tested on a development server, ensuring your site looks and functions as expected before it goes live.

Long term advantages of using a Content Management System based site

1. Easy to update content. A major advantage of using a CMS is that it requires almost no technical skill or knowledge to manage the content of your site. If you can use a word processing program such as Word then you should have no problems updating your own site. Relying on your web designers to manage the website can be time consuming and costly especially when you have small updates to make.

2. Easy to update design. CMS websites separate content from design templates.This is another advantage as it means that if you decide to give your website a facelift, or you require a new look due to a change in business name or corporate style, then all that is required is changing the necessary template files and your existing content is automatically reapplied to the new content.
